The first time we meet will include an initial evaluation. We'll take a few moments to collect some necessary background information before we discuss what may be troubling you presently.
The background information is important for me to have in order to see a more complete picture and identify any elements I might feel may help or hinder your progress.
This initial background information might include some medical history, some family background as well as information about your sleeping patterns, appetite and other day-to-day habits.
This is also a good time for you to ask me questions and determine if you feel comfortable sharing your concerns with me.
At the end of the first session we'll talk about what you expect from the therapy sessions and what my initial thoughts are for treatment. At this point it will be up to you to decide if you'd like to make the second appointment
